Risk Management

While it is the role of Risk Management to process current claims related to injuries and losses, Risk Management more importantly works to reduce or eliminate accidental losses or losses that would significantly affect Lea County's ability to fulfill its responsibilities to taxpayers and the public.

This is most effectively done by applying a systematic and continuous identification of loss exposures, analyzing the frequency and severity of those exposures, and applying risk- and loss-control policies and procedures.
